  • Fun fact: the first time I made gnocchi, they fell apart in the water and I didn’t try to make them again until last week, 10 years later.

    • LOL I've had a few failures like that.

    • Character arc

    • I only tuned in to hear how you pronounce “gnocchi.” You did not disappoint!

    • Fun fact: this is episode 69

    • Fun fact: the first time I made gnocchi (sometime after... May 7th, 2020), they were sticky as all heck and tasted like dead flour. Expect an update in 10 years, I suppose ;)

  • Babish: *flips Gnocchi* me: Ohh Yeah!

  • I made gnocchi once, but I could find my bench scraper so I tried a bastard technique like that guy who makes somen noodles by hand. It came out pretty well

  • Meh, “real” food should never be considered a cheat meal. This food is much better for you than anything you can get at a restaurant, sit down or fast food. And that’s the problem with most people.

  • i'm hungry now....

  • nice

  • nice

  • Can we all make a vote to start calling them Tater Dumps???

  • nice.

  • You Should do “Memaw’s famous brisket” from “Young Sheldon” in Binging with Babish.

  • Mochi but smoll

  • Gnocchi sounds like it's from Japan purely based on word sound.

  • nice

  • gnice

  • Must admit I opened this video with nothing but the fear of how you would have pronounced "gnocchi". But your pronounciation is perfect! Babish never disappoints!

  • Nice.

  • AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHHAHAHHAHHA FUNNY NUMBER HHAHAHAHAHAHHAHHHAHAHHAHHAHA 69696969HAHAHHHAHA

  • Gnice.

  • i used to know how to make gnocchi by myself years ago but forgot so thank you for this

  • Fried “ravioli” gnocchi: Smash balls of the dough into circles with a finger (similar to the divot shape.) get two circles and place a small slice of string cheese (or other desired) in between the circles. Crimp closed, pushing out as much air as possible. Cover in a dish of bread crumbs and gently push so the crumbs stick. Pan or deep fry until golden.

  • more important question is though, did the last dish join "the clean plate club"?

  • I was drooling when you started cooking. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😋😋😋

  • How many servings do 4 potatoes make?

  • Isnt that the name of that cat from Curios George?

  • i say *g-n-o-c-h-i-e* and this is the first time i've heard it said like *n-g-o-e-k-e-e*

  • Gnocchi, for freaks like me

  • Nice

  • I will try this today! The first time I made gnocchi was at culinary school 6years back and they totally collapsed in the water😭

  • Using the bamboo sushi mat is also a choice to roll the shape out instead of fork and faster ehehhe

  • Ricotta? No Whey! I’ll show myself out, sorry

  • Ñocchi

  • *~Nice~*

  • Episode 69........... Nice 😎

  • Just watching this to make the Chicken Gnocchi Soup from Olive Garden

  • Didn't know about gnocchi but now I want to eat it. Sounds hard tho so nvm

  • Joshua weissmann Same Video haha

  • I'm sure Townsends will approve of this application of nutmeg.

  • I made this for dinner with the brown butter sauce and it was fantastic! It even worked with my microwaved potatoes :)

  • *nice* episode

  • 5:16 Babish up here using the superior Chad whisk

  • what a NICE episode ;)

  • ks and fgbp

  • is there a reason why I shouldn't use a food processor instead of a ricer?

    • Because it over works the potato’s and makes them gluey

  • The ricotta gnocchi reminds me of the stuff you make syrniki from, but savoury

  • Nice

  • Hi, i want to make gnocchi from scratch in only 100mins, do the potatoes have to be boiled?

  • I want gnocchi now.

  • Me before this video: Ga-noch-ee Me now: gnyoki

  • I know an old Italian lady who everyone loves her gniocci because they're light and fluffy. I found out she makes the dough using dried potato flakes and flour.

  • I'm Gnot a Gnenne, I'm Gnot a Gnussili, I'm Gnocchi and you've been Gnocchi'd

  • Tuff~nyocki~ {*-*}

  • Thank you so much for making these videos. I have started working with my kids on cooking again. I asked them to find a recipe and we would get the ingredients and make it. Gnocchi with browned butter and sage is what he chose. It turned out great. We also made your beignets, which also turned out great. Thank you.

  • Am I the only one that thinks gnocchi tastes like playdough?

  • gnice

  • Los 29 se come ñoqui papá

  • Nice

  • gnice

  • Nice

  • The way he says “gnocchi” is hilarious. Completely wrong and hilarious 😂😂😂

  • Liked the video. Background music was annoying.

  • And if you are a freak like me...

  • Ew why do you think I have skin on my hands

  • Nice

  • SHAPE. YOUR. DUMPS.

  • You stick with the fork to release moisture. You can release more steam if you cut them in half lengthwise and scoop out the potato with a serving spoon once they are finished baking. If you peel them moisture will remain trapped at the core as they cool down.

  • As Michael Scott would say “make sure you carboload!”

  • Nice vid number

  • Nice

  • ñoquis, sweet and delicious ñoquis

  • "Nutmeg goes good with most Italian dishes..." Nutmeg is in many Italian dishes, but assuming you should add such a strong flavor without careful consideration simply because the dish is Italian demonstrates a lack of understanding how flavors work.

  • Nice

  • You have done shows where you look at healthy versions of traditional cooking… And I was wondering can you make the ricotta gnocchi out of quack?

  • I believe that there is a desert version of gnocchi that they make with the ricotta version. I’d love to see you do a video of deserts made out of food that is normally savoury... I know you have done Banana pizza. Could you also do a chocolate nachos, chocolate taco... As well as a desert sushi and chocolate spaghetti with fruit “mince” balls? I’d also love to see you do the Japanese desert of a poached perfect tomato in cognac. You have done shows where you look at healthy versions of traditional cooking… And I was wondering can you make the ricotta gnocchi out of quack?

  • I hope you saved the skins because baked potato skin soup is absolutely tasty. And it’s easy to make… A whole pile of baked potato skins Some vegetable stock finally chopped onion Some of your favourite fresh herbs Cheese and cream to taste In a large pot and a little bit of olive oil or butter and sauté you’re finally chopped onion. For your stock over and heat up your stock Add your potato skins, let simmer for a little bit. Take off the stove and use a hand blender to cream FII all the potato skins into your stock. Finally chop your fresh herbs and add to the stock Add your cheese and cream if you desire Serve You can also bake them crispy and add to other dishes - or just eat as a tasty (if naughty) snack

  • hey andrew~ What about a basics episode on kitchen tools or spices?

  • I clicked on this video only because the picture showed more than one shape of gnocchi besides that fork-rolled one. You even have the dent-in-the-middle form that my nonna taught me! I'm so happy! I've never seen anyone else make them in that shape. (I hate how the fork-rolled ones look, like ugly deformed snails.)

  • GNOOSHII

  • Nice

  • I hate the very first part of the intro cause it does the little jingle... and then a disturbing almost a second of just silence

  • Nice!

  • This dude puts so much nutmeg that Townsend will show up

  • is it okay to substitute the sage with thyme? ik they taste different but I hate the taste of sage

  • I love how excited you got because that gnocchi smacked hard. ❤😊

  • Anyone else crack a smile every time he says "saucepin"?

  • Am i the only one who said it like Notchy? I had no idea it was n'yoki

  • absolutely the worst way to make, essentially mashed potatoes. smh

  • I was only here to learn its pronunciation but I stayed for the awesome

  • Nice

  • 2:55 3:55 9:24

  • Make the soup from Olive Garden

  • 1:40 *whispers* "Little Bits"

  • Nice.

  • How do you increase the recipe for more people?
